Dr. Louise Gallagher

Chief of the Child and Youth Mental Health Collaborative at the Hospital for SickKids, the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) and Professor at the Dept of Psychiatry, Temerty Faculty of Medicine and the Patsy Jamie Anderson Chair of Child and Youth Mental Health. She is currently leading the strategic development of the Child and Youth Mental Health Collaboratives, a clinical innovation between SickKids, CAMH and the Gary Hurvitz Centre for Community Mental Health to provide more seamless care to children and youth with mental health disorders. In her role at SickKids she is the Co-Chair of the SickKids Mental Health Strategy and the Co-Lead of the Gary Hurvitz Centre for Brain and Mental Health. She is a Senior Scientist at the SickKids Research Institute and at the Campbell Family Centre for Mental Health Research at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. She is leading a newly funded clinical research and trials network for child and youth mental health multimorbidity in Ontario funded by the Ontario Brain Institute, The CALM Network. Her research group is involved in the development of novel biomarkers for child and youth mental health disorders. Previously she was Chair of Child Psychiatry and Director of Research at the School of Medicine, Trinity College Dublin, Ireland and she was the clinical lead of a large regional service for children and youth with neurodevelopmental disorders.
